Description
Relax, recharge, and connect deeply with nature in this 1-day retreat.
We’ll practice sit-spot routines, sacred wanders, track wildlife, share stories, and connect with nature. The ways humans used to live is largely lost – yet our brains and bodies are still the same and crave that deep connection with the Earth and a calm, relaxed mind.
We’ll learn how to move silently through the forest in a way that initiates a flow state – the state of mind that allows your thoughts to still and your productivity, learning, and creativity to skyrocket.
Alison Meehan has learned firsthand from Tom Brown, Jr., legendary tracker and wilderness survival expert who learned Native American ways from an Apache scout plus she was mentored one-on-one by his students for 4 years in these ways. To be a true scout and tracker, you must become one with the forest – silent, unseen, and have a still mind. This stillness of the mind calms your emotions while also putting wild animals at ease. This is useful when hunting, of course, but serves a great many other purposes such as wildlife photography and forming a deeper connection to the forest and wild animals.
