Learn 20 wild edible plants available in Virginia from experienced forager, Alison and/or David Meehan.
This course is a beginner-friendly course and a required pre-requisite for foraging levels 2, 3, and 4. 
Alison has her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from Virginia Tech and has been an avid naturalist, wilderness survivalist, and tracker for 20 years. She is passionate about all things nature and especially bringing people of all ages and backgrounds closer to their ancestry, themselves, and the natural world.
David has his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Crop and Soil Environmental Science from Virgimia Tech and has completed 2 years of graduate level ecology courses. He is an avid gardener, a hobby naturalist, and a wild edible plant and wild edible mushroom expert. He has 15 years of experience foraging and 30 years of working with plants and gardening. A trained martial artist and hobby war historian, he worked for the U.S. Army for 7 years as a military police officer. 
Location: At our property in Glen Allen, VA (exact address will be given after sign-up).
Time: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. April 13, 2024
Kids 13 and up welcome to register with an adult attendee.
