Relax, recharge, and make lasting friends at this women’s retreat! Do you ever wish you could be a kid again and just go to summer camp? Well, look no further! Camp out overnight at a convenient location in Montpelier, Virginia about 30 minutes from Richmond You’ll have the chance to slow down, have fun, learn new skills, and connect with nature and each other in this two night retreat.

How to Move Silently through the Woods

Time: July 21 – 23, 2023, overnight camping. Location: Montpelier, Virginia about 30 minutes from Richmond with a few hundred acres of woods behind and streams.

Details: You’ll have access to a regular bathroom and running water from the house, a fridge, freezer, and cooler to store any food you bring, one shared, regular indoor shower. If the weather is inclement, we also can go indoors or under a tarp.

We will be able to do a little foraging and I’ll have a few things to try that’d I’ve prepared ahead of time for a meal on Saturday, but attendees will be expected to bring their own snacks and meals for the rest, other than a shared stone soup Friday night.

Also, it’s tent camping, so students need to bring a tent, sleeping pad, sleeping, bag, and other gear as needed. Instructions will be sent out after sign up.

Thank you for registering for the Tracks and Roots Women's Retreat in Montpelier, VA!  Do you have any health concerns I need to be aware of prior to the course? Do you have any dietary restrictions?   Set up begins at 4 p.m. on Friday July 21 - 23, 2023 and we'll gather at 7 p.m. for introductions.   Please bring the following:  - One ingredient for stone soup, which will make together for one meal. - Bring non-perishable food and easy to eat raw fruits and veggies for the weekend for yourself. We'll also be preparing a meal together on Saturday with food we can forage as part of the meal.  - A notebook for journaling - Durable clothing, a tent, a sleeping bag, etc. - A camping chair - Toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. - Tent, sleeping bag, etc.  - A reusable water bottle and fork, knife, spoon, plate or bowl.  - Any other essentials you need.  There is an indoor half bathroom and full bathroom upstairs that we can share and an indoor space in case the weather is poor.   If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.  Thanks!  Alison  Alison Meehan Tracks and Roots Founder tracksandroots@gmail.com https://tracksandroots.com/
