Participants Will:

– Improve Writing Skills by Keeping a Nature Journal
– Learn How to Map a Landscape, Trails, Streams, etc.
– Improve Oral Presentation Skills by Sharing Experiences/Findings to the Group
– Learn to Track Animals, Which Some Scientists Call the Earliest Form of Reading
– Practice Math Skills to Measure Dens and Animal Tracks
– Learn to Identify Trees, Plants, Insects, Frogs, Turtles, etc.
– Build Research Skills by Using Field Guides to Learn About Rocks, Plants, Trees,    
Animals, and Mushrooms
– Improve Listening Skills Through Storytelling and Following Directions
– Improve Ability to Work Collaboratively as Part of a Team
– Improve Artistic Skills by Drawing Birds, Flowers, and Leaves and Working with      Clay

Location: Drop off location is at our home in Glen Allen, Virginia, which backs up to 600 acres of forest.

9:30 – 2 Thursdays starting on September 13, 2018 – Each Thursday for 9 Weeks, with a make-up on the 10th weeks
