Come learn wild edible plants available in Central Virginia from an experienced forager, Alison Meehan, who supplements her diet and improves her health with wild plants throughout the year.
After learning how to identify 20 delicious, wild plants found right here in the greater Richmond area, we’ll harvest what we’ve learned and prepare a few dishes together – salad, a fritata with wild greens, ice cream with a wild spice, muffins, sassafras tea, and cooked greens.
These courses are designed to provide enough information for you and your family to begin feasting safely on free, wild food on your own!
