Homeschooler’s Introduction to Foraging – Wednesday May 31, 2023

Learn backyard wild, edible plants and some you can find in a forest. Then we’ll harvest a few things and prepare small meal to share. I’ll have a few things prepped ahead of time as well.

This class is suitable for both beginners and more experienced foragers who want a review or to learn a few additional plants. A parental guardian is expected to stay and learn alongside their child(ren).

We’ll make:

  • Two wild teas (or more)
  • A cooked green
  • A wild salad
  • Try violet jam
  • And more!

Ages: 4 – 12 (Younger kids may tag along, but are free)

Location: At our homebase in Glen Allen, VA 1 mile from Short Pump Mall Time: Tuesday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. (We may finish sooner.)
